I was getting chubby and felt uncomfortable in my body.  Notice how I'm holding my arms in front of my belly to hide it.

What should have been a cool day at the beach was clouded by the unhappiness in my life. I was working in a dead-end job and my social life was non-existent. I eventually reached a top weight of 210 pounds.

Processed Foods

Processed Foods

While studying chemistry at San Jose State University, I discovered a link between obesity and processed foods. There are many studies that have shown that refined carbohydrates and food additives are major contributors to obesity and degenerative diseases. In 1992, I eliminated refined carbohydrates from my life and began to lose weight quickly.
